Diamond Candle Review and Giveaway!

After a long summer of classes, I needed something fun as a little "reward" for my hard work.  I was looking for something fun and unique.  I was approached at just the perfect time by Diamond Candles to do a review and giveaway of their product.  I honestly had never heard of them before.  So, after checking out their website and doing a little search, I was fully on board to try them out!  I like surprises, I love jewelry, and I missed having candles in the house.  So, this was perfect!

Growing up in the Midwest, I had a lot of family friends that made their own soy candles.  They are clean burning, last a long time, and smell delicious all the way to the end.  It's hard for me to make a choice to burn any other kind of candle.  I also love small, family businesses, having grown up through a long line of business owners.  The fact that Diamond Candles are still hand made is amazing to me, with how popular they are and how many orders they fill.  I was even more excited when I got my box to see that it was shipped from a warehouse here in South Dakota!!  The Diamond Candles company is creating jobs in my home state...even more reason to support their business.

I received my review candle within a day of placing my order.  I also had placed a personal order for 2 more candles 3 days before placing my order for the review candle.  I chose the standard shipping and the order was shipped a week later.  I chose to order the Peach Mango candle for the review.

Opening the box, I smelled a heavenly slightly sweet smell.  When I took off the lid, the sensual and light fruity smell was not over powering, but very pleasant.  The smell didn't get too strong when burning the candle either.  It took about 2 hours for the wax to melt enough to fish out the foil covered treat waiting inside.  The review candle enclosed a pretty 5 stone square purple crystal ring that was non-precious metal with rhodium plating.  Probably worth about $15 or so.  It fit my Mom perfectly and is the color of amethyst (which is the birthstone for a few people in our family.)  She loved it, so it is going to live on her finger for a while.  Now, I have been enjoying my candle everyday.  The summery smell wafts through the living room giving it a peaceful feel.

Here are my other two treasures.

You can find Diamond Candles on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.  It is really fun to look at their different pages and see the pictures of other people's treasures that they found in their candles.  It is so much fun anticipating what's inside and then getting to enjoy it, even after the candle is gone.  I also plan to use the nice glass jar for fresh flowers when it is empty.  Here is a video from Diamond Candles to tell you more about their company.
